Happy77 Asks a Party Planner

At long last... tomorrow the island turns medieval and things all over the island will be transformed. This time, Happy77 asks a party panner on what to expect for this years Medieval Party.

Happy77: Tell us about the Medieval Party styles and costumes!

Party Planner: Well, we tried to make something for everyone! The knights need armor, the noble need fancy threads, and there's something special for those who are really adventurous.

Happy77: Everyone's been talking about a new member quest - please tell us a secret!

Party Planner: Hmmm. I can't give it all away, but I'll tell you that there's a cavern full of hot sauce, and a creature who breathes fire... You and your friends will be challenged!

Happy77: Where are some of the places at the party you can't wait to see this year - and the stuff you can't wait to do?

Party Planner: For sure we'll be checking out the Pizza Parlor, the Tree Forts, the Lounge that's decorated with thrones, and the castle at the top of the mountain... but we're really stoked to hear what everyone's the most excited about so let us know.

Happy77 Talks Toys!

Happy77 has made another post on the Club Penguin Blog. This time, she is talking about toys and learns more about them from a Club Penguin Team member. Here is what she has to say:



"Greetings Penguins!


A few weeks ago, when the team showed the new orange puffle toy, lots of you wrote how stoked you were. (FYI - I think the orange puffle's HILAROUS and I'm pretty sure he has a sweet tooth like me.)


Well, the buzz on the island this week is about Rockhopper and there's been some talk around here about a new Rockhopper stuffed toy! I wanted to know more so I asked someone on the team who helps with toys.
Q: The orange puffle seems pretty loved. But what else is new?
A: The newest toys are some 9" stuffed toy penguins - there are a few different ones - including Rockhopper!

Q: Where can we get them?
A: They'll be in Disneyland Resort in California and at Walt Disney World, Florida really soon - and the team's working hard to get them in more places, too - like in Disney Stores and at the CP Online Shop. Keep checking those places. Also, each one comes with a code to unlock items online. And we've updated the Treasure Book!

Q: What should we do if we have toy ideas?
A: Give us all your feedback. Tell us what you like, what you don't like, and what you'd like to see in the future!"

So it looks like the Penguin Plush toys will be going from 6" to 9". It also seems that whatever we think of the toys, Club Penguin might make them!

Happy77 Asks a Party Planner

On Monday, Billybob showed us a sneak peek of the upcoming Puffle Party that will happen later in the month. Happy77 asked a party planner on what to expect.

Happy77: Do we need to be puffle owners to be part of this party?

Party Planner:You don't have to own a puffle, but hopefully you enjoy being around them! Of course, we do encourage puffle owners to bring their puffles to the party... there may be activities for the little creatures...

Happy77: Is there anything we should do to prepare for this event?

Party Planner: Practice your snowball tossing skills! Also, if you own a puffle, make sure to take good care of it.

Happy77: Can we expect any surprises?

Party Planner: Every time we plan a party we try to add a few new things and this party's no exception. But if we told you more than that, it wouldn't be a surprise...

As you know, lots of penguins have headed down to the mine to help with the rockslide. Happy77 Talks To A Igloo Designer

Happy77 interviewd a igloo designer on what judges will look for in the upcoming igloo contest.

Happy77: What makes a prize-winning igloo? Can you give us any tips?
Igloo Designer: It's not about how much furniture you use, it's what you do with it! The judges look for creative, festive igloos. So use your imagination!

Happy77: And how do you enter your igloo in the competition?
Igloo Desginer: You'll see a special igloo button in your igloo December 18-20. When your igloo is ready, just click it to enter.

Happy77: Lots of readers are curious about who the judges are... can you tell us?
Igloo Desginer: We've got two really special guests this year and they've got really different tastes. By my beard, I'll say nothing more!

Happy77 Talks To A Crad Jitsu Expert

The Dojo Courtyard is the happening spot on the island right now! Since lots of you are at the Dojo and you'll probably be playing Card-Jitsu when you take a break from building Amulets. Here is what Happy77 asked to a Card Jitsu Expert:

Q. Tell us your greatest Card-Jitsu moment.

A. Well my absolute favorite moment was helping a group of penguins train for their black belt. It took 20 matches, 2 hours, and 1 extra large pizza with hot sauce, but it was worth it!

Q. What does it take to beat Sensei?

A. It takes good advice from your ninja buddies - also practice.

Q. I don't have a black belt yet (I want one - they remind me of licorice). What's your fave part of being a black-belt ninja?

A. The best thing about being a black belt ninja is the thrill of defeating - or even being defeated by - a worthy opponent. Putting out that last card and waiting...

Happy77 Talks To A Party Planner

This Saturday is really exciting because it's Club Penguin's 4th Anniversary! We're all stoked to party in the Town Center and Coffee Shop. I can't wait to get the new hat. This'll be my 3rd!! Here is what Happy77 asked to a party planner:

Is it challenging to make such a HUGE cake for the Anniversary Party? Doesn't it make you hungry?
It sure does. That is why being a cake maker requires extreme self control (but I did go home and make a giant cake anyhow...)!

What's your fave party from the past year & why?
Definitely the Medieval party! Putting on my fish knight costume and waddling amongst the dragons and fellow gallant adventurers was an experience of epic proportions!

Lots of readers are really curious about the colors of the party hat this year. What can you tell us?
Haha, part of being a super party planner is not revealing secrets. I can tell you was that it was my favorite color combination ever! So I'm super excited to share! But not 'til Saturday.

Happy77 Talks To A Monster Artist

This friday, Squidzoid vs. Shadow Guy & Gamma Gal will be at the Stage and there's a NEW MONSTER on the set! Here is what Happy77 asked to a monster artist:

Q: So is it true? Will there be a monster who helps Squidzoid try to destroy the city at the Stage?

A: It's true. He just might be our biggest monster ever! I'm sure Squidzoid can control him though. 80% sure.

Q: Why did you decide Squidzoid needed help?

A: Well I don't want to say he needed the help, but the last few monsters didn't exactly do much to help out. It seems only fair that Squidzoid has a partner since there's a Shadow Guy and a Gamma Gal.

Q: You mean we'll be able to do MORE than just look at this monster?

A: Um...Oh would you look at that. I'm late for my pumpkin-carving lesson!

Happy77 Talks Volcano

So...there's a whole bunch of buzz about the smoke that's been spotted and Happy77 interviewd some guy who works on the Club Penguin Map. Here is what they have to say:



Q: Is this smoke we're seeing coming from a volcano? Or is it a mountain?
A: At first I thought it might be the Tallest Mountain, but it can't be. After all, there are taller mountains surrounding the one that's smoking. And when you think about it, it must be a volcano! Most of the mountains on Club Penguin have snow on the top of them, but that mountain has never had any snow on it.


Q: Does this have anything to do with the ninja stuff that's happening?
A: Well I can't give away all our secrets, but I've noticed that the ninjas in Club Penguin have been very active lately!


Q: Um...Haven't you noticed that there's no TREAT shop on the map?
A: I suppose there are no treat shops, but if you ever need to satisfy your sweet tooth go to the kitchen at the Pizza Parlor and turn the big red lever on the Pizzatron 3000!

Happy77 Talks Snow & Sports Catalog

This friday their will be a brand new Snow & Sports Catalog! Happy77 wanted to learn a bit more about this catalog so she asked someone who works on it:

Happy77: How often do you make a new Snow & Sport catalog?

Snow & Sports Person: Four times a year. We started to put the months on the front of the catalog so you'll see when the next issue is coming!

Happy77: If there was a candy-eating sport, would any of you make the finals? What sort of outfit would you make for that?

Snow & Sports Person: We'd eat our weight in candy and more! In fact, here's a sketch we just created that we think would be awesome to wear if there were a candy eating sport (We know there's no candy eating sport. This outfit is not in the catalog - it's just for fun!).

Happy77 Talks New Play

This friday there will be a brand new play at the stage. Happy77 interviewed some artist who worked on it. Here is what they had to say:

Happy77: What inspired you about doing the costumes?

Artist: For one of them, a delicious meal I once had was the inspiration... Mmm...so tasty...

Happy77: Tell us something cool about the set!

Artist: There's an entire sea castle to climb in! And a secret shadowy sea creature in the distance.

Happy77: For this play, are there treats underwater?

Artist: Well, chocolate bars tend to get a little soggy, and cotton candy is a mess...we could have tried sea salt taffy - but I'm pretty sure we didn't.

Happy77 Talks Music

With the DJ3K and igloo music updates coming up this friday, Happy77 asked somebody on the club penguin team a lot of the music in club penguin.

Q: There's a lot of music in Club Penguin. How you do decide what music goes where?

A: We'd like the music to support the feeling of the areas and the party themes.

Q: What's your favorite part of making music and sound effects?

A: Working with music and sound effects (sfx) is creative and fun, and we hope it adds another dimension to everyone's experiences on the island.

Q: At last year's Music Jam party, I seem to remember music called "bubble pop" - is that short for bubble gum pop? Are there other kinds of candy music?

A: With that song we were originally inspired by the Bubblegum Pop style of music. But with music this sweet, it's all candy.
